Comment: Son Quint continues to be a popular part of the Arabella experience. It is a little less formal and less challenging than its sister courses, Son Muntaner and Son Vida, but nevertheless well worth playing. The Arabella courses are busy, and the speed of play can be slow!
A few kilometres from Palma, the capital of the island, you will find the three courses that comprise the Arabella Golf Resort. The traditional and legendary Son Vida, the spectacular and magnificent Son Muntaner, and the youngest of the 3 courses, Son Quint. Thanks to its elevated position this course offers an amazing view of the Palma, and the Mediterranean sea.
Son Quint was designed by Ramón Espinosa and Kurt Rossknecht, and opened it's doors in 2007. It falls between its sister courses, Son Muntaner & Son Vida, in length at 6,199 Metres (par-72).
All 18 tee shots are interesting with good views of either the hole, the Mallorcan countryside complete with Pine and Olive trees, or the Bay of Palma.
A highlight is the arrow-straight par-5, 17th with the flag fluttering nonchalantly half a kilometre away in the distance! The course is superbly designed, with enough rough to reward the straighter hitter. It has not been imposed upon the countryside, more flows within it. Most green-to-tee distances are refreshingly short, making this a popular course to walk.
The well-placed bunkers, two large lakes and four different tee-box positions complete the offering at Son Quint, and will challenge even experienced golfers.
After a round of golf here the clubhouse not only offers a great selection of food & drink, but also the opportunity to take a refreshing dip in their pool!
