Comment: Bendinat continues to be a favourite with many of our customers for an enjoyable day's golf, although be prepared to lose a few balls if accuracy off the tee isn't your strength!
Bendinat is the first course that many of our golfers experience when they arrive in Mallorca.
Just 25 minutes after leaving the airport, you’ll arrive at Real Golf de Bendinat. Located in the centre of the luxurious Bendinat residential development, it features the imposing Bendinat Castle as a stunning backdrop.
The course, which was originally 9-holes when constructed in 1986, was extended to 18 holes in 1995 under the direction of architect Martin Hawtree.
Bendinat Golf Course is tricky to play well. Nestled between the valleys and hillsides you’ll find blind tee shots, doglegs, some tight fairways, and greens bordered with pine trees. From the elevated tee boxes you’ll have some stunning views over the hillside and down to the bay of Palma.
At 5,660 m (par-70) this is one of the shorter courses on the island. Due to the hilly terrain, buggies are more or less essential.
Once you’ve completed your round then head to the restaurant’s large terrace which overlooks the 18th green. Order beers and a paella - they do it well. Hopefully, you won’t have lost too many balls, and you can join the likes of Michael Douglas, Nigel Mansell, and Prince Andrew, all of whom have played this captivating course.
Bendinat is a truly unique course that some of our customers return to each year. However, if you’re a higher handicap player you may not want such a big challenge on your first day.

Do I Need a Buggy?
This is a very hilly course, so buggies are essential. They should be kept to the paths on holes 2, 4, 7, 12, 15 & 17, but are allowed on the fairways (90-degree rule) on the rest of the course.
